De la tele al juego: The Flash

Bienvenidos otra vez! Hoy traigo algo que me cruzó por la mente. Recientemente he visto de nuevo una nueva serie, T, the Flash, donde un humano adquiere poderes superhumanos, por lo que me dí a la tarea de crear un bloque de estadísticas para representarlo. Los poderes de los metahumanos son increíblemente altos, entonces diseñé un template que representa el poder que adquirió.

Veamos primero a Barry Allen, antes del accidente.

DESCRIPTION


Bartholomew "Barry" Allen (born c. 1989) is a scientific assistant in the Criminal and Forensic Science Division of Central City Police Department.He is also considered a comic geek. He is also someone who is regularly late as he missed a train, boarded a late train, and misses a cab all to get to Queen Consolidated's warehouse, and missed the last train back to Central City.
During a fateful day, a particle accelerator from S.T.A.R. Labs sent a shock-wave through the city, and only seconds later was Barry struck by a red bolt of lightning through a window in the roof. He was sent backwards through the already-charged chemicals and was knocked unconscious.

DESCRIPTION


Barry woke from his coma and quickly decided to visit his foster family despite protests from Caitlyn Snow, Cisco Ramon, and Harrison Wells to let them run tests on him. He quickly learned he developed superhuman powers with the power to move at superspeeds. He eventually came to learn others had developed powers as well and decided to stop them.


Ah, un cambio notable.  Veamos el template teórico que utilizamos para darle sus habilidades.

Creating a Speedster

Speedster is an acquired template that can be applied to any humanoid race. A speedster retains all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Challenge Rating: Same as base creature +4

Type: The creature gains the metahuman and augmented subtypes.Do not recalculate class Hit Dice, BAB, saves, or skill ranks.

Defensive Abilities: A speedster, due to its metahuman nature, gains a number of defensive abilities normally not available to most mortals. It gains evasion, damage reduction 10/magic and regeneration 5. This regeneration can be stopped for one minute if exposed to cold or lightning damage.

Special Attacks: A speedster gains the special attack described below. 

Speed Force

Due to their incredible speed, a speedster is able to access a special energy that exists in the world. The speed force allows them to achieve incredible feats of speed.


A speedster has a number of speed force points equal to their hit die/class levels plus their Dexterity modifier. The abilities can be activated as a free action by spending the associated amount of points.

Double action: By tapping into the speed force, you are able to act with extreme speed. You are able to take two full round actions and two reactions until your next turn. This usage costs 3 points.

Walk anywhere: Due to the incredible speed at which you move, you are able to any surface, such as walls or water during 1 minute per hit die. This usage costs 1 point.

Speedy recovery: You increase the speed at which your body normally regenerates. During one round per hit die, your regeneration is tripled. You get a new save every for any poison or disesases you are currently afflicted with. This usage costs 2 points.

Superhuman speed: Speed is the game, and you can break even the superhuman levels you already possess. During one round per hit die, your speed is multiplied by ten. This usage costs 3 points.

Speedy attacks: You have learned to use your speed to deliver devastating punches. During a combat, you add your Dexterity modifier to damage rolls for your attacks. This usage costs 1 point.

Accelerated mind: Your mind moves at extreme speeds. Add your Dexterity modifier to your next Int based check. This usage costs 1 point.



Special Qualities: A speedster gains the following special quality.

Constant Haste (ex)

The connection with the speed force lets you be constantly accelerated. You act as if currently under the haste spell. This is an extraordinary ability.

Weaknesses: A speedster is vulnerable to cold or lightning damage. Whenever hit by any of these two types of energy, the speedster loses its constant haste ability and the capability to use its speed force points for a round, and its regeneration ability for one minute.


Speed: The creature´s speed is increased by 700 feet. 

Ability Scores: A speedster gains +4 Con and +8 Dex.

Skills: A speedster always treats Acrobatics as a class skill.

Feats: Speedsters gain Improved Initiative and Lightning Reflexes as bonus feats.
